- Aptera Electric Cars -

Aptera Electric CarsThe electric vehicles made by Aptera are sure to turn heads wherever they go.  The body design is otherworldly and almost looks like it could lift off the ground and take flight at any moment.  Aptera’s don’t actually leave the road, but they do have the ability to travel an incredible distance on a single gallon of gas.

Aptera Motors was originally called Accelerated Composites and they are based in Carlsbad, Ca.  They are still in development in manufacturing their Aptera 2 Series line of ultra high-efficiency vehicles.  California residents can place pre-orders for the cars now though.  The prototype models of the Series 2 get an amazing 300mpg when they are recharged every 120 miles.  They are considered one of the most advanced and efficient vehicles in the world today.

Aptera Electric CarsThe Aptera 2 is a 2 seat vehicle that runs on 3 wheels.  There will be all-electric and a hybrid versions released and they will sell for around between $25,000-$45,000 retail.  The secret to these vehicles’ efficiency is their space-age aerodynamic design and their feather-light construction formed from composite materials.  They re also reportedly quite safe and have been thoroughly crash-tested for optimum survivability.

They are also loaded with features like solar panels, constant climate-control, keyless startup, touch screen controls for many of the interior and passenger systems, and rear cameras to enhance the side mirrors visibility range.
