Miles Electric Vehicles is an American/ Chinese manufacturer of safe and reliable all- electric vehicles.  They have won several prestigious awards given to clean tech companies.  The cars are built in China and then sold in various parts of the United States .  The corporate headquarters are in Los Angeles.  They are privately run firm owned by Miles Rubin.  Miles Electric Vehicles first rose to fame in 2005 with the introduction of the ZX40 model, which was the first street-legal Chinese-made automobile of any kind to be sold in the United States.  

Miles electric vehicles are constructed upon a steel unibody chassis and are crash tested to meet the highest standards.  They are the only crash tested neighborhood electric vehicles on the market at this time.  The MILES XS500 is the most talked-about model pending relase from Miles and will be a huge advance in the electric car market.  The XS500 will be a fully-electric sedan capable of attaing highway speed and will be affordably priced at around $30,000.  At this time, the Miles product line consists of 4 low-speed NEV’s which are suitable mainly for fleet use.  Their superior engineering and construction has made them popular staples of the fleets of several top universities and military institutions.
