 Myers Motors is the first manufacturer of electric vehicles to produce a lithium battery powered vehicle for under $30,000. The model in question, called the NmG, is all electric and charges on a 110v outlet, plus it can reach speeds of up to 76 mph. Because it uses lithium, the battery will last for the life of the car and never needs replacing. The NmG frees you from having to refuel at the pump and costs only 1-2 cents per mile to operate. You can also legally drive it in the car pool lane, even though you are driving solo.
It’s narrow body allows you to park in tight spots normally only open to motorcycles and if you travel by ferry, NmG owners are granted the right of first boarding and first disembarking. Since it uses a standard 110 volt outlet you are free to recharge just about anywhere there will never be a need to build recharging facilities to accommodate NmG owners.
The vehicle also features many great features not found on some electric cars. It has a rapidly functioning heater to keep you warm. It has spacious 6 cubic foot trunk. It even is reported to handle well in moderately snowy conditions. Overall, the NmG is an excellent alternative to any slow speed neighborhood electric vehicle or electric hybrid on the market today.
